font-family:Garamond'>Just a quick word to let you know that all is well and we’re
back in the <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">U.S.</st1:place></st1:country-region>
again. Steve and I led a team of medical and dental missionaries to <st1:country-region
w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Haiti</st1:place></st1:country-region> on
January 8 and were expecting to come home on the 15<sup>th</sup>. Everything
changed on Jan. 12 when a 7.0 earthquake hit the tiny and very desperately poor
island nation of <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Haiti</st1:place></st1:country-region>.
We were finally able to get out on several small planes, Sunday, Jan. 17 and arrived
in <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">South Carolina</st1:place></st1:State>
late that evening. We were greeted by our church and community family. It’s
a testimony to the power of prayer and the grace that God shows each and every
day, despite difficulties that we encounter. The mission team that Steve and I led
was not hurt. We felt the earthquake tremors where we were, about 130 miles
east of <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Port-au-Prince</st1:place></st1:City>,
but there was no immediate danger. We were able to go to the clinic on the
mission station to help with earthquake survivors who had left Port and made
their way to other facilities. There were probably 500 folks who came through
the clinic during the time we were there. It was difficult to treat everyone
because supplies were limited and needs great. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

font-family:Garamond'><o:p> </o:p></span></font></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><font size=3 face=Garamond><span style='font-size:12.0pt;
font-family:Garamond'>I ask that you continue praying for <st1:country-region
w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Haiti</st1:place></st1:country-region>, her
people, and the work that is continuing. Missionaries are still there working
with churches and relief organizations. There is much work to be done.
Donations are needed, medical and relief personnel are sought after, and many
needs continue to surface. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
